Getting here

By bus

The U1 serves Telephone House bus stop (a mere 3-minute walk from Mettricks Old Town) until about 20:30, when the U6 takes over. The U6 then runs until about 23:30. Both routes pass through Portswood; the U6 then serves Shirley and the U1 Swaythling. The U2 serves Mayflower Halls (20 minutes away from Mettricks by foot) and, in the other direction, Bassett Green. A single Unilink fare is £2, while a Day Pass is £3.50. Many BlueStar buses also stop in town; see the BlueStar map to see all its routes and the fare guide for ticket prices.

By train

Mettricks Old Town is easily accessible from Southampton Central Station. You can take a 20-minute walk through West Quay and straight down the high street, or you can use the Quayconnect (a £1 single fare) or U1C buses, which leave the station regularly and serve Telephone House bus stop until about 20:30.

The U2C leaves Glen Eyre and arrives at Mayflower Halls (a 20-minute walk from Mettricks) every 20 minutes throughout the evening and returns with a similar frequency.
